Waste oil suction units, air operated

  • Causes: Suction probe too short, clogged with dirt or bent.
  • Remedy: Blow through suction probe if clogged with dirt.
  • Causes: Oil temperature is too low. (min. 70°C).
  • Remedy: Only suck hot oil. (70°C to 90°C).

Diesel Management System DMS

Digital hose end meters

  • Cause: direction of flow incorrectly set.
  • Solution: calibration of the direction of flow.
  • Cause: Empty battery.
  • Solution: Return the flow meter for battery replacement.

Electric oil pumps

  • Causes: oil temperature has changed, e. g. because of heat or cold. Customer uses oil of higher or lower viscosity.
  • Solution: bypass adjustment, call customer service. Customer will get setting instructions by fax.
  • Cause: leaky suction line.
  • Solution: re-seal suction line.
  • Cause: air in the system.
  • Solution: unscrew oil gun from the pressure line. Put the hose into the barrel and let the pump run until oil is delivered.
  • Cause: pump draws air through the suction line.
  • Solution: unscrew the suction line, clean and re-seal it (sealing tape).

Grease guns and Accessories

  • Cause: air in the cartridge or in the grease gun tube.
  • Solution: open the grease gun tube by half a turn and vent it.

Lever cylinder pumps

Pneumatic grease pumps 50:1

  • Answer: In the case of a line pressure of 8 bar, the calculated delivery pressure is 400 bar.
  • Cause: dirt in the suction valve.
  • Solution: call customer service. The customer will get an exploded view drawing. (Repair assistance)
  • Causes: Air in the grease bucket, dented or conical bucket.
  • Solution: remove the grease gun from the barrel and put it in a clean place. Firmly push the bucket on the soil several times to expel air from the grease. Push the follower plate down in the bucket until grease escapes in the middle of the follower plate. Now put the grease gun again in the bucket.

Pneumatic diaphragm pumps

Pneumatic oil pumps 3:1

  • Answer: In the case of a line pressure of 8 bar, the calculated delivery pressure is 24 bar.
  • Cause: air in the system.
  • Solution: unscrew the oil gun from the pressure line. Put the hose into the barrel and let the pump run until oil is delivered.
  • Cause: pump draws air through the suction line.
  • Solution: unscrew the suction line, clean and re-seal it (sealing tape).
